About the Royal Standard

Hastings’ The Royal Standard is a proper pub with friendly staff, a chilled atmosphere, good ales, wholesome  and interesting food, and a fine taste in music.

There’s usually some old vinyl playing in the corner, and there are live bands on a regular basis. Most notably it’s the regular home to Meanwhile, Back in the Frat Cave…’, a beautifully curated night that brings in a mix of surf guitar and rock’n’roll to brighten up your day.

You will find the pub opposite the entrance to Rock-a-Nore Road right in the heart of the Old Town. It has benches outside to watch the world go by as well as a semi-secluded beer garden.

Dogs are welcome, as is the norm in Hastings.

What's on at The Royal Standard
