HOUSE Of ALL are comprised entirely of former members of The Fall: Martin Bramah (vocals, guitar), Pete Greenway (guitar), Paul Hanley (drums, vocals), Stephen Hanley (bass) and ‘Funky’ Si Wolstencroft (drums).

⚡The debut album, HOUSE Of ALL by the ‘Fall family continuum’ sold by the bucketload and received praise from all corners. A year later, CONTINUUM arrived, a long-player every bit as good as its predecessor.

💣The group’s original pledge to open to other members of The Fall family has been kept with the recent news of a third drummer, Karl Burns. Yes, there will be THREE drummers on stage.

Don’t be fooled by POPtical Illusion, the playful title of John Cale’s second album in just over a year: He remains angry, still incensed by the willful destruction that unchecked capitalists and unrepentant conmen have hoisted upon the wonders of this world and the goodness of its people.

John Cale has always been a musician of the times, helping to usher in titanic shifts in sound and culture. The bleeding edge drones of his Sun Blindness Music opened the path to The Velvet Underground. The frantic rock of Fear and Slow Dazzle, not to mention his production with Patti Smith and the Stooges, framed a half century of punk, post-punk, and art-rock to come.

Once again, on POPtical Illusion, Cale stands as a musician of these times. He looks at the orchestrated turmoil of recent history, furrows his brow in disgust, and then turns on his heels toward a future, even if he—like all of the rest of us, really—doesn’t know just what he’ll find or who exactly he’ll be there. He’s simply happy to be going toward it all.

💣 Artist, DJ, producer, curator, archivist and so many other roles in between, Jaguar Skills is just as likely to be touring with The Prodigy as he is making Netflix theme tunes for comedian Romesh Ranganathan.

⚡On other days he could be writing entire scores to movies that only exist in his mind, such as his debut album ‘The Man In The Jaguar Mask’, or creating complex trips for his Hip-Hop Timebomb project; epic mixes that take his story-telling skills and dexterous chops to such levels of delicious detail you’ll be scratching your head more than he scratches the records.

🔥 From producing Lupe Fiasco’s breakthrough hit ‘We Love You’ (2006) to creating a brand new KRS-One banger from an old forgotten acapella in the Nervous Records basement (‘Big Up New York’, 2014) via his consistent and highly respected presence in the drum & bass scene via releases on labels such as RAM and Viper, Jaguar Skills continues to weave and bob across the pop culture spectrum with nothing but passion for the craft, nerdy obsession and a devout celebration of the culture.

Not everyone starts their career with a debut album– released in 1988– produced in collaboration with music industry heavyweights: ‘Mutt’ Lange and John Parr. Indeed, it was only a matter of time before Romeo’s Daughter hit the headlines! Hot on the heels of its success, their whirlwind tour of the US saw their single, ‘Don’t Break My Heart’ shoot up the US Billboard Hot 100 Singles Chart.

Their dynamic and distinctive sound, described as brimming with “poise, pathos, memorable melodic hooks and inventive arrangements” has been consistently, and uniquely delivered over the years by: Leigh Matty (vocalist), Craig Joiner (guitarist, songwriter and producer), Andy Wells (drums) and their latest addition, Steven Drennan (Bass) who joined 2019. With this line-up, Romeo’s Daughter has a pedigree, second to none; with each member having worked with the likes of: Whitney Houston, Tom Jones, Meatloaf, Jane Wiedlin, Bonnie Tyler, Ronnie James Dio, Saxon,Machine Head, Roxette and John Parr.

Over the years, their infectious music: brimming with power, passion and sophistication– and fronted by Leigh Matty: recently voted in the top 5 ‘Lady Rock Singers of all time’– has attracted the highest calibre of established artists; with Heart covering their single: ‘Wild Child’ on their 3 million sell-out album, ‘Brigade’– achieving No. 2 on the Billboard Rock All Play chart; as well as Eddie Money, Bonnie Tyler, and Steps! ‘Heaven in the Backseat’– also from their debut album– also featured as the opening track of the 1990 film: ‘Nightmare on Elm Street 5’.

⚡Duke Garwood is a London-based multi-instrumentalist and recording artist whose playing has graced albums by a range of musicians. Garwood’s own music is rooted in the blues, generating a dark and spectral sound full of late-night atmosphere.

🌿 In his work with other artists he’s dipped his toes into everything from soul horns to moody electronics, and frequently collaborated with vocalist Mark Lanegan.

💥 Garwood has formed connections with many great musicians, from Mark Lanegan, Seasick Steve, Morcheeba and Josh T. Pearson to Tinariwen and The Master Musicians Of Jajouka. Savages singer Jehnny Beth has also been a long-term admirer.

Paul Oakenfold famously romanticized the story of Ibiza’s origins, wherein he and fellow London DJs/promoters—Danny Rampling, Nicky Holloway, and Johnny Walker—discovered Amnesia’s iconic open-air dancefloor in the summer of ’87. There, they encountered DJ Alfredo Fiorito’s eclectic music and the uniquely international crowd. Their experience inspired them to bring this hedonistic vibe back to London, thus laying the foundation for acid house.

However, the person who guided them through this Balearic adventure was Trevor Fung. A young DJ and promoter, Trevor had been visiting Ibiza since 1979 and even DJed at Amnesia as early as 1982. By 1987, he and his cousin Ian St Paul were managing The Project Club on the island. Trevor Fung became a key figure in the acid house scene, DJing at renowned venues like Shoom, Spectrum, Love, and Rage, as well as at various M25 raves.

The Toots and the Maytals legacy lives on with Toots’ daughter, Leba Hibbert, now fronting the band. They return for a UK tour next Spring including a show at DLWP.

The Maytals formed in the 1960’s and updated their name to Toots and the Maytals for their debut album ’Sweet And Dandy’ in 1969. One of the best known ska and rocksteady groups, they also are known for the first use of the word ‘reggae’ in a song on their 1968 single ‘Do The Reggay’.

Frederick ‘Toots’ Hibbert was considered a reggae pioneer who was named by Rolling Stone magazine as one of the 100 greatest singers of all time. The band are known for classic reggae songs such as ’54-46 Was My Number’, ‘Monkey Man’, ‘Pressure Drop’, ‘Funky Kingston’, ‘Broadway Jungle’, ‘Bam Bam’, ’Time Tough’ and ‘Reggae Got Soul’.

Leba Hibbert has released her own recordings and worked with Sly & Robbie, Jimmy Cliff and more.
