Sunday Coffee Concert : Latin Serenade (guitar/cello)

Classical guitarist John Mills and cellist Andrew Fuller present Latin Serenade, a musical tour of Spain and Latin America.

From Flamenco to Tango and Classical Spanish guitar to Bossa-Nova, the concert features music by de Falla, Granados, Piazolla, Villa-Lobos, Rodrigo, Casals & Gnatalli from their recent CD release on Meridian Records.

Since his Wigmore Hall debut in 1971, celebrated guitarist John Mills has performed hundreds of concerts worldwide and taught several generations of young guitarists. He was a student of Andrés Segovia who praised his exceptional purity of technique and musical sensitivity.

Cellist Andrew Fuller was Associate Principal cello with the Royal Philharmonic Orchestra and a member of many ensembles including The Fibonacci Sequence, York Piano Trio and Primavera. Presently he is cellist of the Primrose Piano Quartet.

John & Andrew have shared the concert platform for the last two decades, these arrangements and transcriptions have developed over their many years of concerts together.
