Praying Mantis kick off their UK tour in Hastings and bring you a night of powerful rock music taking you back to before the dawn of the NWOBHM era.

The movement was formed in London in 1979, six years after Preying Mantis strutted onto the scene, when  DJ Neal Kay provided the platform for bands such as Iron Maiden, Samson, and Angel Witch (plus Preying Mantis of course) to air their music at The Bandwagon, a heavy metal haven.

The term NWOBHM was coined by Geoff Barton, editor with the music paper of the day ‘Sounds‘ which promoted music from the new movement.
