Event Details

Joining us for a Tuesday special are three exceptional London- based musicians and songwriters:

Bozard, Phil Maguire and Sam Crooks have been collaborating on a number of projects across the country and they’ll be coming together at The Jenny on the 16th April to trade tunes and celebrate their new records and songs.

INDIVIDUAL BIOS
Bozard is a touring Musician and Songwriter based in London. Originally from Sicily, he’s been making a name for himself on the Blues and Folk circuit of the country for his unique guitar work and poignant delivery. Blending the tradition of Rural Blues with his slide and resonator guitar, and a songwriting full to the brim with sparkle and idiosyncrasies, he’s forged a brand of Folk-Blues that’s only his own. Following the release of “Moonlanding” in 2022, he’s regularly played some of the most revered grassroots venues of the Uk – such as Ain’t Nothing but (London), Spiritual Records (London), Green Note (London), Cafe #9 (Sheffield), Folklore Rooms (Brighton), Hydeaway (Frome), just to mention a few – touring and collaborating with fellow troubadours Pearl Fish and Rob Quo amongst others.

Phil Maguire is a folk musician from South East London that has been touring their unique blend of contemporary and traditional folk music for the past 10 years across London and the UK. A life of gigging on the road birthed a couple of singles that were followed by the EP ‘The Church Bell’ in early 2022. 2023 then saw the release of his debut album ‘Valley Of My Dreams’. This is a record that explores the beauty and pain of human existence in equal measure and has been picked up by a number of radio stations in the UK. 2023 saw Phil performing 52 gigs in 52 weeks. 2024 has some exciting shows lined up including a tour in early April which will see him visit Hastings, Bexhill, Exeter, Bristol and more!

Sam Crooks
Born and raised in the east of Canada, Sam has called London his home for the better part of a decade. His primary passion in music is double bass and in this he plays with a number of London and south England outfits: Dead Pages, Rob Quo, founding member of Gatekeepers and a session musician at The Barn in Wiltshire. Having released his 2nd EP “After The Night” in November, 2023 Sam is also in the singer-songwriter world bringing soaring vocals, intricate arrangements and thought provoking vocals to venues around London and south of England.
