Comprised of four musicians each with their own storied pasts, Aircooled launched their debut album, St Leopards, in summer 2022. They specialise in a form of electro disco party trance, with a raw edge born in German Kosmische experimentalism. Spacey guitar and burbling synths wade over crashing, overlapping rhythms and locked-tight basslines, the album’s four tracks varying between 5 and 16 minutes in length, or stretching out longer in live performance.

Oliver Cherer (vocals, instruments) has long dabbled in numerous ambient and electronic projects, recording widely as Gilroy Mere. Katharine Wallinger is a former Wedding Present bassist, while indie royalty Justin Welch drummed in Elastica, as well as Suede, Lush, and The Jesus and Mary Chain. Musician and vocalist Riz Maslen began recording as Neotropic in the mid-90s and has recorded for all manner of underground dance labels.
