Poppy Rockett is a female lead alternative four piece from the South east of England. The Band have been described as “ethereal” and “psychedelic”. They play a mixture of genres reminiscent of a shoegazy, grungy cocktail of Radiohead, Hope Sandoval and Jeff Buckley.
After writing for years Poppy started putting together a band. It was her dream to achieve and find the perfect sound to accompany her song writing. This has come true with the collaboration of Max Garner on drums, Milo Gross on bass, Charlie Morrell playing lead guitar and Poppy with lead vocals and Rhythm Guitar. They have found that sound and have become a well oiled machine.
Last year saw many well received live performances with the latter part of the year spent in the studio recording what will be an imminently released single kickstarting a new sound with several other tracks to follow.
They have been featured on BBC Introducing a handful of times and been referred to as “Rising Stars”. Played several London and Brighton gigs (including Denmark St in Soho) and loads in and around Hastings and Eastbourne.
