The long-overdue and most welcome return of King Size Slim for a Friday night of Heavyweight Acoustics.
Award winning artist Toby Barelli aka King Size Slim has performed somewhere near 1500 shows over the last decade. Taking his unique rootsy sound across the UK and Europe, North Africa and the Middle East.
“Going under his stage name King Size Slim he is full of that effortless flowing musicality that the blessed few possess. The band seethe and sway behind him with that kind of easy camaraderie of musical veterans. There is a stripped-down drum kit dealing with minimalist rhythm and a honking grinding sax adding to the ribald, darkly poetic swing. Barelli has form and his stagecraft is impeccable”
LOUDER THAN WAR
“King Size Slim practically set the Speigeltent venue on fire with their headline slot at Edinburgh Jazz and Blues Festival. Real Music delivered with no fuss. Exactly what was required to round off a great week of music”
