The Damned and Lloyd Cole are just two of the bands on the current Bexhill De La Warr Pavillion programme who you won’t want to miss.

St Valentine’s Day promises to be a proper masacre as the band who, just over 40 years ago, released the very first commercial punk single, hit sleepy Bexhill with a massive wake-up call.

Hot off the success of their 40th Anniversary tour across America, this is a chance to experience the band’s raw, primal and macabre energy in a truly intimate venue and get up close and personal with punk’s original connoisseurs.

Because when it comes down to it the fact of the matter is that it was Croydon’s finest, The Damned, whose single ‘New Rose’ was the song that formally launched punk into the mainstream.

Their Evil Spirits UK tour is set to rock the DLWP stage on 14 February 2018 and here’s your link to tickets.

A few weeks later, on Sunday 4 March, things will be more reflective as Lloyd Cole stops off on The Retrospective Tour – the Lloyd Cole Songbook 1983 – 1996.

This show will be celebrating the release of Lloyd’s new 1983 – 1996 anthology and he will perform songs exclusively from this classic period.

Here’s your chance to grab a ticket for an icon of his time.
