THE CARLISLE, HASTINGS
The Carlisle is a family and biker-friendly traditional pub and live music venue that has a rish history and a solid place in the Hastings scene.
There’s free live bands every weekend, and you’ll find a warm welcome any day of the week in this great seafront venue – one of the few pubs in town with proper sea views.
There is a sensible bar stocked with honest pints at sensible prices, and although there’s no kitchen there are plenty of places to eat nearby.
Beer and cider
The Carlisle serves sensibly priced honest beers and ciders – nothing fancy, just good quality pints
Food
Just pop out and grab a bag of chips – there are some of the best in town nearby. Or try the little bistro across the raod – it’s got the highest rating in the area.
Music
Events are free entry and worth way more. You may catch the cream of the local rock scene, or maybe a touring band from the states.
The Venue
The Carlisle has a small but comfortable stage that has seen six or seven piece bands perform.
It has an excellent PA with good quality equipment and professional engineers on hand – as well as a good lighting system.
Parking
Lots of on-street spaces nearby and a large carpark across the road.
Private Events
The pub has a large private events space upstairs with some of the best views in town across the English Channel and down to the pier.
