Event Details

Rio Ferdinand Foundation ‘United Against Racism’ social action programme that partners across the worlds of sport, music, culture, e-sports and business comes to The Hempist for important evening of discussion and Q&A

United Against Racism will deliver the momentum for change we see in our communities, spearheaded by global events.

Fronting the year-long programme, alongside our three Youth Ambassadors; Poppy from Salford, Tyra from London and Leo from Belfast, are patron and Founder Rio Ferdinand, Music Ambassador Heather Small, and Arts Ambassador and actor Colin Salmon.

The United Against Racism programme changes the narrative around racism, inspires the youth voice, connects communities and empowers change.

A host of high profile partners – including Sky, Music Against Racism, UEFA Foundation, LDN United, the Professional Footballers Association, Phoenix Sports Media Group, New Era, and the Black Police Association and One Love Festival – have committed to the UAR goals and will be delivering the programme with us throughout the year. This will include a series of youth and community programmes across the UK and Ireland, e-sports tournaments, podcasts and high profile regional events led by youth Ambassadors.

United Against Racism, is a call to action, it is a collective that empowers change, and it is through our shared partnership agenda, that we will give young people a voice, a voice that changes the narrative surrounding racism, and brings communities together.
