WHAT IS HASTINGS TAP TAKEOVER?
Hastings Tap Takeover is an annual event celebrating the very best independent breweries from the UK and beyond. It takes place in multiple venues across the historic towns of Hastings and neighbouring St Leonards, on the Sussex coast. Over a single weekend in October, each venue will showcase an independent brewery of their choice by turning over their taps to the brewery for the whole weekend. Think of it as a beer festival across a whole town.
WHAT IS A TAP TAKEOVER, EXACTLY?
It’s when a pub, bar or other beer-serving venue turns over all (or a large proportion) of its taps to a single brewery, in this case for a whole weekend. Some venues might be serving only cask beers, some only keg, and others a mix of the two, but you can guarantee that between all the venues and breweries involved, there will be something for every taste and every preference.
DO I NEED A TICKET?
No. All the participating venues are open as normal as they would be on any other weekend – there are no tickets or entry fees required anywhere. Just get along and get involved! Please bear in mind that different venues will have different opening hours, different capacities and different ways of operating.
