In recent times legendary club night Prekend found itself a new home on the coast in The Marina Fountain.

In all its years, it’s played host to a serious selection of amazing djs and selectors, being a continual haunt of Al’s close friends Weatherall and Leftfield. Every night bringing in another name you never thought you’d see or a name you should have always known.

But in all their combined years never have Uncle Al and Earl Gateshead ever crossed paths. Both being from the same neck of the woods (but with an obvious divide!) Sunderland and Gateshead will dj together for the first time.

Earl Gateshead for the unaware brings an impressive resume. The first reggae dj to play some of the biggest clubs in the world in Fabric, The Ministry Of Sound and Space. Starting his own night, bringing in the best of dub and reggae to the now mythical Plastic People. But in our eyes, most importantly having a 23 year residency at The Dive Bar in soho. Earl made his name playing on a serious sound system in the back of a proper boozer, so it’s an honour to get him down to put our own pub to work.

We take two breaks to feed, change and chat, and questions are always repeated. Settle in with the picture round from 12pm, with a further five quiz rounds (including general knowledge, music, connection and themed) starting at 12.30pm until 2.30pm. Don�۪t panic if you�۪re a bit late – we repeat questions.

A lunch menu including vegan and gluten-free options is available.

Baby change is available, including our legendary mobile baby change which means you don’t need to leave the quiz to change baby!

A number of high chairs are also available.
