The duo are now marking their return with the release of a limited edition 7’’ vinyl, ‘We should’ve Gone Dancing / When Spring Calls’, accompanied by a new video, a run of shows with Jools Holland and a handful of headline shows and in-stores.

All that beautiful music may have been ancient but the message of inclusiveness, tolerance and caution couldn’t be more contemporary." LatestBrighton 13 November. 4.5 stars.

Kino-Teatr presents St Lennys Beige Xmas

Xmas used to be about old St Nick but in St Leonards it's all about St Lenny (Beige), the patron saint of quality fight-free light entertainment.

After selling out the venue this summer with his Neil Diamond tribute, Lenny is now inviting you to come and be part of the Beige family for one night only and celebrate the festive season in style.

Forget your local pantomime with ’stars’ you’ve never heard of, ignore the poor buffet dinner dance at the local hotel and abandon thoughts of that Christmas Karaoke in the dodgy pub in Bulverhythe. THIS is the only pre Xmas knees up you need.

The King of Light entertainment will be once again backed by his band of Hastings’ finest minstrels including Russell Field. Expect songs, patter and special guests including the Duo Bogoff and the incomparable Doon Mackichan.

Tickets are £12 available from the Kino-Teatr box office and online from Ticketsource www.ticketsource.co.uk/date/430003

1929 Soviet documentary film directed by Viktor Turin documenting the building of the Turkestan–Siberia Railway. The rail line stretched northeast from Tashkent to Almaty and on to Novosibirsk.

The film contrasts the open desert and sand with the order of rails and movement of machines. The Turkic people ride horses and camels and rear sheep. This drama is set against the dry steppe as it is converted into a cotton growing region.

"Turksib" was particularly appreciated by the classic British and Canadian documentary filmmaker John Grierson, who prepared the English version of the picture.

The NJE are Terry Edwards, Mark Bedford and Simon Charterton and will be joined by Steve Finnerty and Oliver Cherer.

THE STANDARD BEARER
Julian Sands introduces and directs Stephen Wyatt’s play starring the extraordinary talent of Neil Dickson.

"Played by Neil Dickson with perfectly modulated self-importance and cultural cluelessness, the unnamed actor has arrived late for his performance in a remote schoolhouse, after a nightmare trek through the bush that has incapacitated his co-star wife….The piece cuts deeper than mere parody...smartly directed by Julian Sands…staging delights in depicting the tropes of no-budget theater…”
