White Rock Theatre

+ Google Map
White Rock
Hastings,TN34 1JX

The White Rock Theatre is directly opposite Hastings pier. It’s about a ten-minute walk from the station and there are several hundred nearby parking spaces. Here’s a map and parking locations.

The theatre has a main auditorium seating 1,066 people (you see what they did there) facing onto a deep stage framed by a proscenium arch. It is a wide space with excellent site lines from all but the very end seats on the front rows which have a restricted partial view of the stage.

Shows at the White Rock are typically national tours of heritage and tribute acts, with the occasional contemporary show on the calendar. The theatre provides the main pantomime venue for the area, and also plays host to events for some of the larger local festivals.

Inside, the foyer gives access to a ground-floor bar and there is also a cafe bar upstairs with sea views and a circle bar on the top floor.

The cafe bar serves pre-show meals and light bites at reasonable prices – here’s the current menu.

As well as the main auditorium the theatre has the Sussex Hall. This is a large flat space with a sprung dance floor, it’s own bar and a full sound and light set up. It is generally used for private functions, seating 150 in cabaret style.

Details of all the spaces and their capacities can be found here.
