You'll be forgiven for not being able to find the entrance the The Printworksfirst time.
It's tucked down an alley to the right of the Observer Building in Claremont (just at the bottom of the steps down from Cambridge Road) - and the doorway (on the left-hand side) doesn't give much away.
But once inside you'll be glad you made the effort.
This is post-industrial bar and venue is open Thurday to Sunday from 4pm. It closes up at Midnight on a Thursday and is open an extra hour on Fridays and Saturdays.
There's a well-stocked selection of draft beers, and the atmosphere is hip, despite (or perhaps because of) the crowd normally being a little older than some of the clubs in the town.
There are two rooms, with the upstairs space accessed via an old metal spiral staircase. Both are suitable for live music, but downstairs is more of a caberat vibe, whilst upstairs is a large flat area where standing crowds of about 200 can be accommodated.
