The Brass Monkey is an alternative/student bar that is open early evenings on Tuesdays for quiz nights and late nights on Thursday, Friday & Saturday evenings for a variety of events, including live music & DJs. The long bar extends at the rear to accommodate a small stage and space for about 150 people standing to see live bands. entertainment is predominantly DJ-based, but the live side of things tends to bring in acts from further afield, so it's definitely worth keeping an eye on their listings.
