You’ll find Pissarro’s Town House on a corner half way along South Terrace, the road leading off Queen’s Road at the back of the Priory Meadow shopping centre. It’s a firm favourite amongst many locals and is a genuine institution in Hastings Fridays and the last Saturday of the month are the nights to catch live music at Pissarro’s. You can expect anything from blues and soul to celtic reels or rock’n’roll. For their next couple of month’s listings you can find info on their website. The Sunday Carvery is priced from £10.95 and it’s Steak Night every Tuesday from 4pm – 9pm where two people can get a steak meal each and a bottle of wine to share from £30. Main meals start from just £6 and there’s a wide choice on the menu, ranging from bar tapas at £2 – £4 each, through burgers starting at £9.50 (including chips and onion rings in a brioche bun) to a range of specials and classics. Food is served 2noon to 9pm Monday to Thursday, 12noon to 9:30pm Friday and Saturday, and 12noon to 8:30 Sunday
