Near Jazz Experience

The NJE combine two ex-Higsons with the bassist of Madness. Mainstays of their sound are Terry Edwards’ double-sax technique, Simon Charterton’s polyrhythmic funk patterns and Mark Bedford’s fluid but grounding basslines. Their set will include new material from their forthcoming album.

Miki Berenyi: “I played some Lush songs with KJ ‘Moose’ McKillop and Oliver Cherer at book events for my memoir Fingers Crossed and enjoyed it so much that we’ve decided to extend our set. Expect new songs and old, and a ton of guitar pedals which we may or may not gaze at”.
