Cherubs + Rid Of Me + Pascagoula

Texan noise rock legends Cherubs tour the UK to celebrating the 30th Anniversary of classic album Heroin Man with US punk pals Rid of Me plus support from Brighton’s Pascagoula.

CHERUBS
Formed in 1992, Cherubs emerged on the Austin, TX, LSD punk scene with a jackhammer of nightmarish, rhythm-driven song structures and plenty of Butthole Surfers whimsy and terror to keep things more than interesting. Fast forward 20 years later and the band has reformed with more energy and songwriting acumen then ever.
Cherubs have now joined forces with the equally revered Relapse Records for the release of their fifth long-player Inmaculada High. Recorded and engineered by Erik Wofford (Explosions in the Sky, The Black Angels, My Morning Jacket) at Cacophony Studio in Austin, Inmaculada High is 11 songs of signature Cherubs clamor with an added twist of Texas-sized, psychedelic racket.
Smooth, rumbling low-end rhythms interplay with feedback drenched, chuggin’ guitars, relentless tone and vocalist Kevin Whitley’s shrill, life-of-the-LSD-party vocals. On Immaculada High, Cherubs loudly proclaim their title as bonafide noise rock legends who continue to forge transgressive yet remarkably accessible punk for a jaded world.
Following Immaculada High, Cherubs tapped Brutal Panda Records to reissue their legendary catalog including a remastered version of Icing, the band’s iconic debut. Heroin Man (1994’s noise rock masterpiece) and 2 Ynfynyty (the triumphant comeback album) are also back in circulation to rattle speakers and fry brains. The cacophony legacy of Cherubs is now readily available for all to experience…and far from finished.

Brighton “supergroup” Pascagoula, featuring members of Charlottefield & Trencher released their blistering new album ‘For Self Defence’ on Human Worth this year. These guys are the real deal! Proper grafters, who have each torn their way through the UK DIY scene, influencing so many bands who have followed in their wake. Now coming together as Pascagoula, they have harnessed the energies from these previous bands to create something extra special – bringing crushing riffs and driving rhythms with ferocious vocals that are deeply emotive.
