He’s back! A year after his triumphant Jazz Hastings debut last February, the legendary American saxophonist Jerry Bergonzi has agreed to grace us with his presence once again. And this time he’ll be playing with one of the biggest stars of the UK jazz scene (and recent Jazz Hastings guest), pianist Jason Rebello.

Jerry gained worldwide recognition while playing with two generations of Brubeck bands. He is renowned for his innovation, mastery and integrity, as a performer, composer, author and educator. Among the artists he has performed and recorded with are Bill Evans, Paul Desmond, Dave Holland, Gerry Mulligan, Jack DeJonette, Roy Haynes and many more. Jason Rebello spent twelve years touring the world, first with Sting and then with Jeff Beck. He is now concentrating on being a solo jazz artist. His recent album ‘Held’ won best new CD in the British Jazz Awards.
