𝘼 𝙩𝙖𝙡𝙠 𝙤𝙣 𝙩𝙝𝙚 𝙤𝙧𝙞𝙜𝙞𝙣𝙨 𝙤𝙛 𝙅𝙖𝙘𝙠-𝙞𝙣-𝙩𝙝𝙚-𝙂𝙧𝙚𝙚𝙣𝙨 𝙖𝙣𝙙 𝙩𝙝𝙚 𝙙𝙚𝙫𝙚𝙡𝙤𝙥𝙢𝙚𝙣𝙩 𝙤𝙛 𝙩𝙝𝙚 𝙃𝙖𝙨𝙩𝙞𝙣𝙜𝙨 𝙅𝙖𝙘𝙠.

Hastings Traditional Jack in the Green was founded through research by local folklorist Keith Leech who has been involved with the event ever since and is the current chairman of the trustees.

Keith will speak about the origins of Jack-in-the-Greens, to then follow the development of the custom over the past 40 years in Hastings and will offer conjecture at what may be yet to come. He will also include new information about other Jacks-in-the-Green in the area in the 20th century.
