De La Warr Pavilion, Tuesday 10 October 2017

The experimental New York four-piece rock band, Grizzly Bear, have been making (sound) waves for 15 years and have amassed a world-wide fan base.

They are touring following their recent new long-player release, ‘Painted Ruins

This is the band’s first new release in five years, and has been long awaited.

Pitchfork said of the album that:

“Grizzly Bear’s evolution has seen them move from the looser, moodier side of folk-rock, to records defined by their more latticework approach to vocals and instrumentation—modern “headphone listening” music.”

…but that said, Grizzly Bear are a live force to be reckoned with, and this show promises to be something quite special, especially as our experience of the De La Warr Pavilion’s acoustics has demonstrated that the room should be able to provide a perfect foil to the band’s musicianship and vocal prowess.

This one’s a standing gig and tickets can still be snapped up here.
